The Pakistan Super League added two new teams for the 2026 season, which expanded the tournament to eight teams. One of them was the Sialkot Stallionz. The team had one of the most turbulent starts in PSL history. It faced an ownership collapse and even a name change before the team played its first match.
Later, the franchise was rebranded as Multan Sultans after CD Ventures, owned by Gohar Shah, acquired a majority stake from OZ Developers, which was facing financial problems. The team will now compete in PSL 2026 as Multan Sultans, not Sialkot Stallionz. In this blog, get the squad details and schedule for PSL 2026.

Conclusion
The Sialkot Stallionz have one of the most unusual stories in PSL history. The team was first created, then faced financial problems, changed owners, and even changed its name before playing a single match. Despite this off-field chaos, the squad looks strong on paper.
Steve Smith is the main overseas star, while Tabraiz Shamsi adds quality spin bowling. Josh Philippe brings aggressive batting in the powerplay, and Shan Masood provides stability at the top order. The team has the talent to reach the PSL playoffs. The biggest challenge will be team chemistry, as many players will play together for the first time in a short 10-match league stage.
