1. 176 Runs: Sharjeel Khan & Babar Azam 

Sharjeel Khan and Babar Azam made 176 runs together for Karachi Kings against Islamabad United in 2021. This is the highest partnership in PSL history. They batted for the 1st wicket and scored quickly.

Sharjeel made 105 runs off 59 balls with 9 fours and 8 sixes. Babar played a steady innings of 62 runs off 54 balls. Their partnership came in just 109 balls. Karachi scored 196/3. Islamabad chased this target in 19.1 overs with 5 wickets.

2. 162 Runs: Saim Ayub & Babar Azam 

Saim Ayub and Babar Azam added 162 runs for Peshawar Zalmi against Quetta Gladiators in 2023. This was a strong opening partnership. Saim scored 74 runs off 34 balls, playing attacking shots. Babar scored 115 runs off 65 balls, playing one of his best knocks in the PSL.

Zalmi reached 240/2. Quetta easily chased it in just 18.2 with the historic knock of Jason Roy’s 145* off 63. The partnership gave Zalmi a great start, but Jason Roy turned the match with the best knock in PSL history.

3. 162 Runs: David Warner & James Vince

David Warner and James Vince made 162 runs together for Karachi Kings in 2025. This partnership came for the 2nd wicket against Peshawar Zalmi. Warner scored 86 runs off 50 balls, while Vince made 72 runs off 42 balls.

Their batting made the chase easy. Karachi scored 237/4 in their 20-over quota. During the chase, Karachi’s bowler bowled really well as they stopped Peshawar Zalmi at 214/5 and let their team win by 23 runs. 

4. 157 Runs: Liam Livingstone & Babar Azam 

Liam Livingstone and Babar Azam scored 157 runs for Karachi Kings in 2019. This was a 1st wicket partnership against Multan Sultans. Livingstone scored 82 runs off 43 balls with 6 sixes. Babar made 77 runs off 59 balls.

Karachi reached 183/6. Multan could score only 176/9 runs. Karachi won by 7 runs. Mohammad Amir bowled well in the middle overs and took 4/25 for Karachi Kings. This partnership gave a strong start and helped Karachi control the match easily.

5. 157 Runs: Usman Khan & Mohammad Rizwan 

Usman Khan and Mohammad Rizwan added 157 runs for Multan Sultans in 2023. This was an opening partnership against Quetta Gladiators.

Rizwan scored 55 runs off 29 balls, but Usman made 120 runs off just 43 balls quickly with 12 fours and 9 sixes. Multan scored 262/3, a very big total. Quetta fought very well, scoring 253/8, but lost by 9 runs.

6. 157 Runs: Saud Shakeel & Jason Roy

Saud Shakeel and Jason Roy made 157 runs for Quetta Gladiators in 2024. This was a 1st wicket partnership against Peshawar Zalmi.

Roy scored 75 runs off 48 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes. Saud made 74 runs off 47 balls. Quetta reached 206/5, and Zalmi scored only 190/6, and Quetta Gladiators won by 16 runs. 

7. 155 Runs: Samit Patel & Ben Dunk 

Samit Patel and Ben Dunk added 155 runs for Lahore Qalandars in 2020. This was for the 4th wicket, not an opening stand. Lahore was struggling at 50/3, but they recovered well.

Dunk scored 93 runs off 43 balls, while Patel made 71 runs off 40 balls. Lahore reached 209/5. Quetta was bowled out at just 172 runs and lost by 37 runs. 

8. 155 Runs: Will Smeed & Ahsan Ali 

Will Smeed and Ahsan Ali made 155 runs for Quetta Gladiators in 2022. This was an opening partnership against Peshawar Zalmi.

Sahibzada Farhan and Alex Hales added 153 runs in 2025 for Islamabad United. This was an opening partnership against Karachi Kings. Hales scored 88 runs off 35 balls. Farhan made 73 runs off 41 balls.
