First Innings Highlights

Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem attacked from the very first over. Naeem smashed a six off Riley Meredith in the third over to signal his intent. Meanwhile, Fakhar punished anything short, crashing four boundaries in a devastating sixth over off Mohammad Ali.

The pair raced to 64 without loss at the end of the power play. Furthermore, Fakhar completed his 24th PSL fifty off 36 balls. Hassan Khan broke the 83-run opening stand by dismissing Naeem for 30.

Shortly after, Abdullah Shafique fell to a terrible run out for 4. Hassan Khan then claimed Fakhar for 53 with a well-flighted delivery. Consequently, Lahore slipped to 94/3 in the middle overs.

Haseebullah Khan steadied the innings with a composed 40 off 28 balls. Sikandar Raza then launched a brutal cameo of 24 off just 10 balls. Additionally, Shaheen Afridi smashed two consecutive sixes off the final two deliveries. Lahore finished on an imposing 199/6 with 70 runs coming off the last five overs.

Second Innings Highlights

Saim Ayub started aggressively with three fours in the power play. However, Shaheen Afridi struck early by removing Usman Khan for 9 with a sharp catch from keeper Haseebullah Khan. Ubaid Shah then picked up his maiden PSL wicket by dismissing Saim Ayub for 17. Marnus Labuschagne tried to rebuild alongside Kusal Perera.

On the other hand, Sikandar Raza struck with his very first delivery, trapping Perera lbw for 1. Mustafizur Rahman accounted for Irfan Khan with a clever slower ball. As a result, the Kingsmen slumped to 59/4 after eight overs.

Labuschagne fought with a boundary-laden 26 before Raza took a diving return catch to remove him. The Kingsmen collapsed from 65/5 as Haris Rauf bowled Hassan Khan and Rizwan Mehmood in quick succession.

Moreover, Ubaid Shah cleaned up Hammad Azam with a good length delivery. Riley Meredith’s 19 off 26 was the only resistance from the lower order. The Kingsmen were eventually bowled out for 130 with a run out off the final ball.
